The repeating petals of a dahlia provide the starting point for the Dahlia Pendant gold vermeil. Oliver Hampel abstracts that structure into a floral, layered piece of wearable sculpture. Nylon makes the dimensional form remarkably light, allowing greater scale and detail without the weight of a comparable all-metal piece. Gold-plated sterling silver details introduce a warm contrast against the matte nylon.
